Unlock Your True Potential

Minimum Viable Movement

March 28, 20261 min read

What is the minimum amount of movement you can do on your worst day?

10 pushups? 5 pushups? 1 pushup?

Try this: Define your Minimum Viable Movement. It must take under 2 minutes. It must be so easy you laugh at it. That laugh is the point — your brain stops treating movement as a threat.

Comedian great Jerry Seinfeld, once said his key to writing jokes was to "never break the chain" (keep the streak going) one joke a day.

If you can talk yourself out of it in 10 seconds, it is too hard. Make it easier. The goal of the MVM (minimum viable movement) is not fitness — it is showing up. Fitness comes later. The chain comes first, in other words "Master the art of showing up"- James Clear.

Start your streak today, small consistent daily steps go a long way.
